Collaboration with Skagerak

Foldable outdoor furniture

When we sold our apartment and moved to Copenhagen, one of the requirements for our next apartement, was a balcony. But living on the 8th floor, your have to get use to all kinds of weather. This summer I gave it a little makeover. Most of our furniture were falling apart and our plants had seen greener days. Looking for new furniture, I really wanted a flexible solution and decided on finding foldable outdoor furniture with out compromising on the design.

My go to brand for outdoor furniture is the Danish brand Skagerak. They have the right aesthetic and very high quality too. The two sun chairs was the most important pieces for the balcony. We get a lot of wind on the 8th floor, so we don’t spend that many evenings eating outside. But during the day and afternoon, it is the perfect spot to drink your coffee and enjoy the sun and the amazing view. I chose two Aito Lounge Chairs with grey fabric. It is a beautiful outdoor sunchair with an indoor expression. It could easily be an indoor lounge chair in our livingroom.

Another important thing about this chair, is the material it is made of. The fabric is Oeko-Tex certified, extremely colour and lightfast, water and dirt repellent, mildew-resistant, removable and machine washable at 30° C and last but not least. Free from harmful substances. The wood is 100% FSC.

The details on this chair is perfection. The fabric is only attached by a wooden stick and is very easy to remove when you need to wash it.

For the dining area I went for the Picnic table and stools.  The stools are stackable and easy to store when we don’t use them. And the table doesn’t take up any space when folded down. Having my morning coffee with this view is pretty hard to beat.

This is our view every evening and I am so thankful. I know that I am going to miss it when I don’t live here anymore.
