Sustainable wooden play pretend vegetables

Ever since I became a mother, I have had a very clear opinion about what kind of toys I wanted for my daughter. Good quality, free of chemicals and true to life colors. My instagram and blog can be quite colorless, at times, but I really don’t mind having colors in my home or kids room. I just really appreciate not having neon colored vegetables in the play kitchen. I try to buy as much pre loved toys as possible, it just really makes sense not to bring more unnecessary plastic into the world.

Etsy is a great place to find unique and handmade toys. I found this great little shop that sold handmade wooden toys and I completely fell for these play pretend vegetables. The design and colors really spoke to my aesthetic and the mix of different materials, is great for learning. You even get them delivered in brown grocery paper bags, packed in a little textile shopping bag and with small learning cards. It is really important to me to buy good quality toys, that can be passed on to other future kids and maybe one day, a whole new generation. Shop them here.
