A modern spin on a vintage BORKUM

There are many treasures to be found in the archives of IKEA. Personally I have a few favorites that I would love to see reproduced. Mimmi Staaf is a instagrammer I already follow and she is so talented. Check out her work here. She find old design icons and makes them into new treasures. To take care, refurbish and creative reuse is more up-to-date than ever, and the interest in reducing its ecological footprints only grows and grows.

Your apparently worn furniture has long ways to go before the final destination gets the dump. She found the IKEA chair BORKUM, designed by John Bertil in the 70’s and made it her own, with a beautiful yellow colored fabric (all from IKEA). The bright colour and the shiny steel makes it a total show stopper. See more details here.
